WordPress is customisable blogging software that you can use to create your own unique blog or website. As part of WordPress's customisable features, you can choose from thousands of plugins to add functionality to your site. If you want to add a floating contact box to your website so that visitors can contact you, there's a WordPress plugin available for the job. The Slick Contact Forms plugin allows you to add either a drop down button, a sticky, sliding tab or a floating contact box to your site.

    Log into your WordPress account.

    Click "Plugins" on the Dashboard and then click "Add New."

    Type "Slick Contact Forms" into the "Search plugins" text box and then click "Search Plugins."

    Click "Click Contact Forms" in the search results list and then click "install." The plugin will install a widget into your WordPress Dashboard.

    Click "Widgets" and then drag the "Slick Contact Forms" widget to one of your widget area. For example, drag it to the sidebar.

    Click the "Floating" radio button.

    Type a width in pixels into the "Width" text box and then type a Float Speed into the "Float Speed" text box.

    Click "Save" to create the floating contact form.

Tips and warnings

  • If the floating/slide out tab does not appear, check your plugins for outdated plugins. Remove any you don't want and open the Slick Contact Forms widget again.
