"Pro Evolution Soccer" or "PES" is a soccer simulation video game series on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. New content for the games is released sporadically in the form of patches, with new team kits, balls, stadiums and so on. These are easy to download and install for PC players, but the process is more difficult for PS3 gamers -- to get the patch onto a PS3 you have to download it on a computer, then transfer it via USB stick.

Things you need
- Computer or laptop
- USB stick
Download the patch file to your computer or laptop and extract it onto your desktop.
Connect a blank USB stick to the computer and create a folder on it called "PS3." Then create a folder inside that folder called "SAVEDATA." Put the patch option file inside the SAVEDATA folder.
Eject the USB stick from the computer and plug it into the USB port on your PlayStation 3.
Turn on the PlayStation 3 and go to the Game column in the menu. The USB stick should be listed at the top of the menu. Highlight it, press triangle, and select "Display All." Copy the option files to your PS3's hard drive.
Start up "Pro Evolution Soccer" and the game will automatically update using the option files now on the hard drive.
