A free online construction program, ROBLOX lets designers build places and games. The scripting language Lua plays a crucial role in ROBLOX. Although Lua is not a difficult language to learn, many elements come equipped with Lua script. These include not only the elements the ROBLOX developers include, but also the thousands of elements that other ROBLOX users have made available to the ROBLOX community. Designers do not steal ROBLOX scripts, since they are free to use, but instead copy and customise them.

Open the ROBLOX builder.
Click the "Tools" icon to open the tools panel.
Click on the "Categories" drop-down menu. Scroll through the categories to find an interactive model whose script you wish to copy and use elsewhere. Good options include the vehicle, spawning brick, and weapons categories.
Click the thumbnail of the model you selected to place it in the world viewer.
Click the "Insert" tab and the "Explorer" button listed in the tab. Double-click the Workspace folder that appears in the explorer panel.
Double-click the name of the model you chose in the Workspace folder. Look for an object called "Script" in the model folder.
Click on the word "Script." Press "Ctrl" and "C" simultaneously to copy the script.
Choose another model from the "Categories" menu in the "Tools" panel. This new model should not have any script connected to it. Good categories include bricks and faceplates.
Click on the name of the new model in the Workspace folder. Press "Ctrl" plus "V" simultaneously to paste the stored script into the new model's folder. Now the script governs this new model as well.
Customise the script for the new model by double-clicking on the word "Script" to open the script editor.
