Drupal is an open-source content management system that provides tools to simplify website creation, design and implementation. Views Slideshow is a module that uses Views to create a rotating carousel of content, including thumbnail images. A module is a private party Web application, or add-on, developed under an open-source license. Modules are used to extend the functionality of a Drupal installation. Views Slideshow is a module that allows content providers to insert scrolling node content into a block or page.

Download the Views, Views Slideshow and Chaos Tools modules (see Resources.) Log in to your Drupal website as an administrator. Select "Modules" from the administration panel, and then click "Install New Modules." Upload the three tar.gz files, and click "Install."
Click the "Enable Newly Installed Modules" link. Scroll down the page and check the box next to "CTools," "Views," "Views Slideshow" and "Views Slideshow: SingleFrame" to enable the modules. Return to the home page.
Select "Content" from the administer panel. Click "Views" followed by "Add New View." Name your view. Select the node content type, and then click "Add Field." Select "Content" from the drop-down list, and then click the box next to "Image Field." Select thumbnail from the size options and click "Update."
Click the "Styles" link under the "Basic Options" heading. Choose "Slideshow" from the list of available formats. Add a page and give it a path. Click "Save."
