In their corner of the park, Yogi and Boo Boo Bear couldn't get enough of visitors' pic-a-nic baskets, but when you make one on Photoshop, you don't have to share your goodies. Photoshop, part of the Adobe Creative Suite, offers the tools to create a picnic basket for any kind of outing. Take advantage of Photoshop's included drawing tools to form the base of your basket quickly, giving you more time to dedicate to the decorating and filling of the basket.

Open Photoshop. Select the "File" menu. Select "New." Enter "Basket" into the "Name" box. Enter dimensions for the canvas -- not the basket itself -- into the "Width" and "Height" boxes, such as "5" and "7" respectively. Select "inches" from the two dimensions drop-down menus and click the "OK" button.
Right-click an icon of a grey star, grey circle, grey square or line near the bottom of the "Tools" pane on the left side of the Photoshop screen. Choose "Rounded Rectangle Tool" from the flyout menu.
Click into the "Color" box on the toolbar at the top of the screen. Choose a colour for the picnic basket, such as brown or red. Click "OK."
Position the cursor halfway down the "Basket" canvas on the left side. Press and hold down the left mouse button and click and drag to the opposite corner, forming the main base of the basket. Release the left mouse button and the basket fills in with colour.
Position the cursor just above the top-left corner of the basket. Draw another rectangle, but very thin, across to the right side of the basket, forming the handle, though it doesn't look like a handle just yet.
Right-click the new Shape 2 layer, which has the to-be handle, on the "Layers" palette on the right side of the screen. Select "Rasterize Layer."
Pull down the "Edit" menu and click "Puppet Warp," a new addition in the latest version of Photoshop CS. The handle becomes filled with tiny lines and the cursor turns into a pushpin.
Drag the handle up towards the top of the canvas, away from the basket. Click once on the left end of the handle, which deposits a yellow circle with a dot. Click once on the right side of the handle to deposit another dot.
Click on the left side yellow dot and drag the end of the handle down to meet the basket. Repeat on the right side, which creates the familiar curved handle of a picnic basket. Press the "Enter" key to set the puppet warp and solidify the handle, completing the basket.
Select the "Pencil" icon on the "Tools" pane. Double-click the "Color Picker" at the bottom of the "Tools" pane and click black. Click "OK," then use the pencil to draw the folds and weaves found in some bamboo baskets, or make other designs. Another option is to select colours in the "Color Picker" and draw items sticking out of the picnic basket, such as a bottle of wine or a large loaf of French bread. This step is optional.
Click any of the layers in the "Layers" palette. Select "Flatten Image." Click the "File" menu and click the "Save" option.
