How to Hide Sender in Lotus Notes

Updated March 23, 2017

When sending an e-mail, you may sometimes wish to remain anonymous. Less-than-reputable spammers send millions of unsolicited and potentially harmful messages every day, and if you question a recipient's motives, you should consider sending your e-mail to him anonymously. You can use Lotus Notes to send an anonymous e-mail message.

Launch Lotus Notes. Click on the "New Memo" tab and open a blank e-mail template.

Change the menu selection in the "From" field of the memo to match what is listed under the "Principal" tab. This will change the outgoing identifier so that no sender information is conveyed to the recipient.

Type your message and press the "Send" tab.
