When you work on a website on your Mac with the free iWeb application, which Apple installs on every modern Mac, you might want to share your photos in an online slideshow. IWeb comes with templates for different types of website features, including pages for writing a blog, sharing videos and presenting photos as a slideshow. You can insert a slideshow page into your website with iWeb.

Click "iWeb" from the Dock on your Mac to launch the application. A list of your websites appears in the left pane of the iWeb application window. Click the folder of the website to which you want to add a slideshow.
Click the "Add Page" button at the bottom of the iWeb window. A list of website template pages appears.
Click a template in the left pane to select the style you want, such as "Modern Frame" or "Comic Book." Thumbnails of different page types appear in the main template pane, such as "Welcome," "About Me" and "Photos." Click "Photos" and then click "Choose." A new Photos page is created.
Drag photos from a folder on your Mac onto the placeholder photos in the template. Click the "Show Media" at the bottom of the iWeb window, then click the "Photos" tab if you want to browse your Mac's photos from iWeb. Click a folder, such as "iPhoto," and then drag a thumbnail of a picture from the media browser onto a placeholder photo. You can also drag a folder of photos onto the Photos page to add multiple pictures at once.
Click the thumbnail of any photo on the Photos page. The "Photo Grid" options window opens. Click the "Columns" drop-down menu and then click the number of columns that you want to display the thumbnails of your photos. Type a number in the "Photos Per Page" box to set how many images appear. Drag the "Spacing" slider to the right to increase the space between each thumbnail; drag it to the left to decrease the space between each thumbnail. Click the "X" in the upper left of the "Photo Grid" options window to close it.
Click the "Publish Site" button, then click the "Publish To" drop-down menu. Click "Local Folder" to preview what your site will look like. When you view your website, a "Play Slideshow" button is automatically included at the top of your Photos page. Click the "Play Slideshow" button to start watching your website's slideshow.
