    Set Up

    Charge the helicopter by plugging the battery pack into the charger, then plug the charger into a standard electrical socket. The charger LED will indicate the battery is fully charged when it turns green.

    Turn the helicopter and transmitter on, then move the throttle stick to assess the movement of the collective pitch. Adjust the movement range of your aircraft's collective pitch to make both upward and downward movement symmetrical. Unscrew the hexagonal socket-head cap screw, then pull the inner shaft rod to equalise the up-down movement of the collective pitch. Tighten the screw.

    Place the red and blue blade-tracking decals on the two main rotor blades. Place the aircraft on a level surface. Raise the throttle to spin the helicopter's blades, then watch to see if they are spinning in a perfect circle at the same height. If one is lower than the other, turn the blade connector in single-turn increments to raise it to an even plane with the other. The adjustment screws are located at the base of the blade, where it meets the mounting holster on the swashplate.

    Turn off the helicopter and transmitter, then unscrew the servo connector from the tail rudder (located at the end of the helicopter). Turn on the battery once the servo is disconnected; it should centre itself. Manually position the tail rudder to an idle (centred) position, then reconnect it to the servo arm by tightening the screw.

    Adjust the gyro sensitivity to correct any wobble in the helicopter's flight; it is located just behind the main rotor on the helicopter. If you wish to perform aerobatic manoeuvres, decrease the gyro's sensitivity by turning the adjuster screw (located on the front of the gyro) counter-clockwise; if you want to hover the aircraft -- or perform normal flight patterns -- increase sensitivity by turning the screw clockwise.

    Raise the right joystick up to increase the throttle strength of the aircraft. The helicopter will lift off the ground and gain altitude. Decrease the power of the throttle by lowering the right joystick to reduce altitude.

    Use the left joystick to rotate the helicopter left or right. Move the joystick left to power the rudder, which will turn the nose of the aircraft to the left; move the rudder joystick right to turn the aircraft to the right.

    Use the elevator to fly the helicopter forward or backward by moving the left joystick up or down. Push the left joystick up to engage the elevator and to move the helicopter forward; pull the left joystick down to fly the helicopter backward.

    Use the right joystick to engage the aircraft's aileron, which will sway the helicopter left or right without turning the direction of the nose. Move the right joystick left to bank the helicopter left; move the joystick right to bank it right.

    Reverse all of the standard flight directions when flying inverted to preserve the integrity of the controls; for example, while moving the throttle up during standard flight will increase altitude, moving the joystick down during inverted flight will result in increased altitude.
