How to Uninstall Adobe Download Manager

Most common Adobe applications, such as Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Reader, install an additional Adobe Download Manager application during program set-up. The Download Manager application is used to facilitate downloads from the website, but it is not actually necessary for downloading from the site. You can remove Adobe Download Manager from your computer using the "Programs and Features" control panel in Windows Vista and newer versions or from the "Add/Remove Programs" control in older versions of Windows.

    Close any open Web browsers.

    Hold the "Windows" key and press "R" to open a run command box.

    Type "appwiz.cpl" in the command box and press "Enter." A control panel window will open that displays all installed applications.

    Right-click "Adobe Download Manager" in the program list.

    Click "Uninstall" in the menu and click "Continue" to proceed. The Adobe uninstall wizard will remove the Adobe Download Manager application from your computer.
