How to Hide Favorites on Twitter

Updated March 23, 2017

Twitter is a popular website that allows you to broadcast short messages, called "tweets," quickly and simply using Really Simple Syndication (RSS). If you have a Twitter account, you can mark other messages as Favorites, allowing others to see the tweets you've liked. If you wish to undo this or conceal your Favorites, there are two ways this can be accomplished.

Log into your account.

Click the "Profile" tab at the top of the page.

Select the "Favorites" tab on your profile to view all of your Favorites.

Hover your cursor over the tweet you wish to hide.

Select the "Unfavorite" option. This will remove the tweet from your Favorites.

Log into your account.

Select the "Profile" tab at the top of the page.

Select the "Edit your profile" option.

Check the box labelled "Protect my tweets" next to "Tweet Privacy" in the "Account" tab. This will hide your Favorites to everybody but your Twitter followers.

Click "Save" to save these settings.
