Chiromancy, more commonly known as palmistry, is a technique used to foretell the future by examining the lines on the palm. Originally, palmistry was used to assess a person's personality. However, it has become a popular tool of divination to see the future. It is not uncommon when getting a reading that one will ask about future relationships, marriages, and possible children. A responsible palmist will be able to accurately assess the lines on the questioner's hand and provide them with possible outcomes.

On the dominant hand (the one you use to write with), locate the marriage line or lines under your pinky. These lines will extend from the edge of your palm and end beneath your pinky.
Examine these lines carefully and look for multiple marriage lines. It is not uncommon for a person to have more than one line. If multiple lines are present, it may indicate multiple marriages or serious relationships.
Pay attention to the length and width of the marriage line. Long, thick lines indicate that the questioner will have a long, lasting and happy relationship with their soul mate. Short, thin lines can be a sign of difficult marriages or relationships.
Note the direction of the marriage line. If the line swoops upward, this could be a strong indication that this person isn't interested in getting married and has the tendency to stay single. If the marriage line extends to the fourth finger it is an indication that that the person will have a happy marriage or relationship. A marriage line that swoops downward it is a possibility that the marriage may be "disastrous" due to unplanned events and surprises.
Look for minor lines that cross the marriage line. If a line that crosses is present, it can indicate that divorce or separation may occur. If minor lines that don't cross the marriage line are present, they may be a sign that there is a possibility for children in the relationship or marriage. If there is a fork at the start of the line, or is close to the beginning of the line, it may indicate an extended engagement. If a fork appears at the end of the line, it may indicate a separation or possible divorce.
