When you are in a raid in "World of Warcraft" (WoW), the leader will designate a responsible person to be Master Looter. This can speed up the raid since one person will handle the Epic Items while the rest of the raid can continue. It can also prevent unnecessary raid drama that can ensue when some players need Roll for an item that they do not need. Being a Master Looter and using the Master Looting option is simple and can save you and your raid time and unnecessary headaches.

Instructions

  1. 1

Make sure that the party is converted to a raid group. To do this, press "O" to reveal the Raid interface. Click on the "Convert to Raid" button to convert.

  2. 2

Right-click on your player portrait. Scroll to the Looting option and then click on the Master Looter option and select the item quality, this can be Uncommon, Rare or Epic items. Purple items in Raids are Epic items that you will have to loot manually.

  3. 3

View the piece of loot you want to distribute. Clicking on the Item Drop will bring up the Raid group. Click on the name of the player you wish to give the item to, if the item is Bind On Pickup, a confirmation warning will appear. You must be sure to give it to the correct player. Make sure that the players who are interested in the item stay behind so that they can receive it.

Tips and warnings

  • To ensure fairness, have players who are interested in the item roll for it. For some raids, if a player has already received something, he will forfeit his turn for the rest of the raid.
