Micro SD cards have become one of the most common ways of storing information from a mobile phone. The card's small size makes it well suited for increasingly slim devices. Some Micro SD cards can hold up to 16 gigabytes of data. You can transfer pictures from a Micro SD card to your computer by opening the photos on your phone and then adjusting your phone's settings to copy the file to card. You then insert the Micro SD into a USB card reader than connects to your computer.

Look for the Micro SD card slot on the side of your cell phone. Insert MicroSD card into the slot the arrows on the card entering the slot first. Wait a few minute for your phone to recognise the card.
Open the "Media" application on your phone. Select the "Pictures" folder and then select a photo you want to transfer to the Micro SD card. Press the phone's "Options" button and then select "Copy to MicroSD card." Continue to copy pictures to the card until you've transferred everything you want on your computer.
Press the "Eject" button on your phone next to the Micro SD card slot. This will release the card from the phone.

Insert the SD adaptor into the card reader. Insert the card reader's USB cable into an open USB port on your computer. Your computer will take a minute to recognise the reader. Open the "My Computer" menu on you computer and then open the memory card reader drive. In Mac computers, the memory card reader icon will appear on the desktop. Click and drag the photo files from inside the drive to a folder on your computer.
