How to Revive a Dead Character on Torchlight

Updated April 17, 2017

“Torchlight” is an action-adventure role-playing game developed by Runic Games. The game takes place in the fictional town of Torchlight and nearby caverns and dungeons. If your character dies during battle or while on an adventure, there are a few different ways to revive him. Most options, however, will cost you fame or gold to fully restore your character. When your character loses in battle, a menu will pop up with restoration items.

Read the menu that appears after your character dies in battle.

Choose between three different revival options. Choose the first option to restore your character to full health and at the location where he fell, but with a significant deduction to gold and fame points. Choose the second option to restore your character to full health with only a minor gold deduction, but you must start at a stairwell or the portal. Choose the third option to to restore to full health and to warp back to Torchlight.

Click "Return to Title Menu" on the revival screen if you do not like the restoration options. Returning to the title menu will restart your character at the stairs.

Warning

If you are in "Hardcore Mode," your character cannot be revived.
