Hotmail, also known as Windows Live Hotmail, is a free web-based e-mail service developed by Microsoft. Like other e-mail services, Hotmail stores a list of all e-mail addresses you have communicated with. For various reasons, some e-mail users may want to delete from their Hotmail account the email address of someone they recently sent an e-mail to. Although it is not possible to delete e-mail addresses from your stored contact list, you can delete them from the recently sent list in the "To" field so they will not appear with your contacts while composing an e-mail.
Type the first few characters of the email address that you want to delete from Hotmail inside the "To" field box.
Wait for the address to appear, then press the "down arrow" key on your keyboard to select the email address from the list.
Press the "Delete" key on your keyboard to delete the email address from appearing on the list.
Repeat Steps 1 through 3 to remove any other e-mail address from Hotmail.
Click on the "Options" panel, then click the "More Options" link.
Locate the "Customizing Hotmail" section, then choose "Advanced privacy settings."
Select the "Only suggest people in your contact list" option to keep other e-mail addresses you recently sent e-mails to from appearing when you compose e-mails in the future.
Click "Save" when you are done for your changes to take effect.
