Most PC computers include support for Bluetooth technology. This allows you to connect your computer to nearby devices, using wireless signals. Some people use Bluetooth devices, like smartphones, to create a network connection for their desktop or laptop. If you need to share that Bluetooth connection with others, you can enable Internet Connection Sharing through the Windows settings, and make your device act like a router.

  1. 1

Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on both your computer, and your mobile device.

  2. 2

Open the Start menu on your computer, and go to "Control Panel."

  3. 3

Go to the "Network and Sharing Center" control panel item.

  4. 4

Click on the "Manage network connections" or "Change adaptor settings" link on the left-side of the window.

  5. 5

Right-click on the icon for your Bluetooth connection, and choose "Properties" from the contextual menu that appears.

  6. 6

Go to the "Sharing" tab at the top of the pop-up window.

  7. 7

Check the box next to "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection" and press "OK" to save the settings. Your computer will now use your Bluetooth device as a router, and share the network connection.
