How to Change the Drive Belt on a Hoover Logic Tumble Dryer

Updated February 21, 2017

Dryers in the Hoover Logic brand line come in a range of models, each with a distinct set of features and its own design characteristics. Every Hoover Logic automatic dryer uses a similar system to control the movement of the dryer drum. A belt connects to a set of pulleys powered by the motor. If the belt is faulty or damaged, the drum may not be able to rotate. Change the drive belt to keep the Hoover Logic tumble dryer working properly.

Disconnect the power cord from the electrical socket.

Remove the screws around the rear access panel on the back of the dryer. Set the panel aside.

Remove the old belt from both pulleys.

Loop the new belt around the smaller pulley. Stretch the belt around the larger pulley. Pull the belt by hand to ensure it is seated properly on the pulleys.

Replace the rear access panel. Install the screws that hold the panel in place.
