An adjustable knitting board is commonly used to knit socks. The board can be adjusted to make baby socks or men's socks depending on the number of pegs being used. The pegs are wrapped with yarn before the board is tipped and knitted. An adjustable knitting board can be made using several blocks of wood with a sliding rail inserted within. The goal of the knitting board is to make knitting easier and allow individuals to knit socks of different sizes with the same board.

Things you need
- Wood blocks (1-inch thick)
- metal sliders
- electric saw
- electric drill
- stiff metal wire
Select two wood blocks that are two inches long. Select two wood blocks that are six inches long.
Use the electric saw to cut out a space in the wood blocks, making the inside of the wood hollow. Do this for all four blocks. Nail together all four pieces into a rectangle so that the hollow part faces inside.
Create a rectangle frame from the metal wire that will fit inside the hollow wood frame and place the metal wire inside the frame.
Select another piece of wood that is 2 inches long. Drill a hole through its centre from one end to the other end. Put a another piece of metal wire through and secure this last wood block onto the metal frame at both ends so that this block slides up and down.
Drill small holes onto to the top of the wood frame and insert pegs as shown in the video.
