The Logitech Flight System G940 is a throttle, joystick and pedal system to be used with flight simulation PC games. You can use the system with "Flight Simulator X," Microsoft's ultra-realistic flight simulator game. To use the joystick controller, you will need to map the functions of the controller to the commands in the game.

    Start up "Flight Simulator X" on your computer.

    Select "Settings" from the main menu.

    Click on the "Controls" option from the "Other Settings" tab.

    Click on the "Control Axes" tab and select "Logitech G940 Joystick" as your device.

    Double-click the command that you want to change.

    Press the button or move the joystick on the G490 on the axis for the command that you want to map.

    Delete any other commands that were automatically assigned by clicking on the command and selecting "Delete Joystick Assignment."

    Repeat the mapping process for the throttle and pedal controllers until all of the commands that you need are mapped to a button on the G940 system.
