How to Find an Easynote Model Number

Updated February 21, 2017

The EasyNote is a series of notebook computers manufactured by Packard Bell. If you've purchased an EasyNote notebook and need to find drivers for the system components, you'll need to determine the exact model number of the computer. There are two methods for finding out the model number of your Packard Bell EasyNote laptop -- through the system information tool built into Microsoft Windows or by registering the serial number of the device on the Packard Bell website.

Turn the EasyNote notebook computer on, and allow the operating system to boot up completely.

Click the "Start" menu button. Choose "All Programs" followed by "Accessories," "System Tools" and "System Information."

Click the "System Summary" option in the left pane of the "System Information" window.

Locate the "System Model" entry in the right pane. Directly to the right of this text, in the "Value" column, is the model number for your EasyNote notebook computer.

Turn off your EasyNote notebook computer and close the screen. Turn the notebook computer over and locate the serial number, which is typically engraved or written on a sticker next to the UPC (Universal Product Code). Write down the serial number.

Navigate to the "Packard Bell" website (see Resources.) Click to select your preferred website language. Hover your mouse cursor over the "Support" menu at the top of the screen, and then click "Register your product."

Click the "Create an account" button. Type your first and last name, e-mail address and a password for your account into the appropriate text fields. Retype your e-mail address into the "Re-enter your e-mail address" field, and then retype your password into the "Confirm password" field. Click "Create Account."

Click the "Register your products" link. Type the serial number that you located in step 1 into the "Serial Number" text field, and then click "Submit."

Click the "My Products" button at the top of the screen to display a list of registered Packard Bell products. The model number of the EasyNote notebook computer that you registered will be displayed next to the EasyNote notebook series entry.
