How to Open Rosetta Stone

Rosetta Stone is a popular language learning software program that runs on your computer. You can find Rosetta Stone for almost any language imaginable, from Spanish to Swahili. The program leads you through various exercises and activities which improve your skills in foreign languages. Using Rosetta Stone requires installing the software CD on your computer and opening the program. Once you have the software up and running you can start learning a language from the comfort of your own home.

Place the "Application" Rosetta Stone disk into your CD-ROM drive. Choose a display language from the pop-up window and press "OK." Follow through the prompts displayed on the screen and press "Finish" once the software has installed.

Check your desktop for a Rosetta Stone icon. If you see one, double-click on the icon to open the program. If you don't see the icon, you'll need to find it in your "Applications" folder.

Click the "Start" menu at the bottom left corner of your screen. Hover your mouse over the "All Programs" link.

Find the "Rosetta Stone" folder. Hover over this folder and find the version of Rosetta Stone you're opening. Hover over that folder, find the "Rosetta Stone" icon and double-click it.

Type in your user name and password if necessary. Press the "Log In" button.
