How to Stop Windscreen Misting

Anything that obstructs the vision while driving is dangerous. Windscreen misting is a common problem that drivers face. This is especially common in cold weather. To prevent accidents, you should do whatever is possible to clear the mist from your windscreen before driving. Some methods may work faster than others, so it is best to try various methods until you find what works best for you. The following methods will help to stop windscreen misting.

Warm 2 cups of water and pour into a spray bottle. Spray your windscreen before driving to prevent windscreen misting. Immediately turn on your heater and let it blow directly on the windscreen.

Pour 3 parts of white vinegar in a spray bottle and add 1 part of water. Spray the solution evenly onto the windscreen after you park at nights to prevent windscreen misting.

Purchase an anti-mist and apply it to your windscreen. Anti-mists allows the build-up of mist to evaporate at a faster rate. Follow the manufacturer's directions to apply it correctly.


Keep the inside and the outside of your windscreen clean to reduce the effects of misting.
