How to Remove an MSN Connector

Updated February 21, 2017

The Microsoft Network (MSN) Connector, also known as the MSN Outlook Connector, is an add-on tool for the Microsoft Office Outlook application. The Connector allows you to sync your Windows Live Hotmail, which is part of MSN, with your Outlook account. If you want to remove the MSN Outlook Connecter, you must remove the account from your Outlook program and uninstall the Connector application from your computer.

Open the Microsoft Outlook application on your computer and click the "Tools" option from the top toolbar menu.

Click the "Email Accounts" option and a new dialogue box will appear on the screen.

Click the "View or change existing e-mail accounts" option. Click the "Next" button and click the "Email" tab.

Select the Windows Live Hotmail account that you use with the MSN Connector. Click the "Remove" button.

Click the "Yes" button to confirm your selection and click the "Finish" button to close out of the dialogue box. This removes the MSN Outlook Connector from your Outlook software.

Close out of the Outlook program and click the "Start" button from your desktop. Click the "Control Panel" option and click the "Programs" option.

Click the "Programs and Features" option and select the "Outlook Connector" program from the list of programs. Click the "Uninstall" button.

Enter your administrator password, if necessary, and allow the uninstall process to complete. Restart your computer to complete the uninstall process. This fully removes the MSN Outlook connector from your computer.
