Your VIP1200 Set-Top Box lets you to watch your favourite episodes, sports and movies, all in high-definition on your TV. Furthermore, the VIP1200 features a digital video recorder which allows you to record programming whether you're at home or on the road. The programming is stored on a hard drive for later viewing. The VIP1200 also is compatible with TiVo. The first step to setting this up is to remove the set-top box's faceplate.

    Take the set-top box out its box and place it onto a table with the front panel, or faceplate, facing you.

    Make sure the unit is turned off. If the box is on then hold the POWER button, which is on the left side of the front panel, until the green light goes off.

    Grab the left and right edges of the faceplate and snap it off.
