The Orange company is a broadband Internet service provider in Europe that offers a high-speed connection through a router/modem called Livebox. You can connect devices to the Internet directly by connecting them to the Livebox with an Ethernet cable, but it is also possible to connect to the Internet with your wireless devices such as a laptop computer.

Instructions

  1. 1

Enable the wireless card on your device. This can be done multiple ways depending on your device but will usually be done by turning the wireless switch on the device to the "ON" position or right-clicking on the wireless network icon on your desktop and selecting the "Enable" option. Press the "1" button on the side of the Livebox to enable wireless sharing.

  2. 2

Open up the network connections window for your device. If you are running Windows this can be done by clicking on the start menu and clicking on "Control Panel. In this window double-click on "Network Connections." Double-click on the "Wireless Network Connections" icon.

  3. 3

Click on the "Livebox" option that appears on the list of available wireless networks on the next screen. If other wireless networks appear, ignore them. After selecting the "Livebox" network, click on the "Connect" button.

  4. 4

Locate the WEP key for your Livebox. This is on a sticker that will be on the side or the bottom of the device next to the label "WEP key." Write this code down and enter it into the box that appeared on your screen. After entering the WEP key in both boxes on this screen, click the "Connect" button. Wait a moment while the wireless card works and you will see a pop up saying "Wireless Network Now Connected."
