How to remove the rear speaker grille in a honda accord

Updated February 21, 2017

Honda Accord rear deck speakers are covered by a grille. Before attempting to remove or replace these speakers, you have to remove the grille. On many cars, the grille is integrated into the rear deck panel, but on the Accord the grille can be removed separately from the rear deck panel by accessing the panel through the boot. Removing the speaker grille will only take you a few minutes, and all you will need is a screwdriver.

Open the boot and work yourself into position where you can see the bottom of the rear deck panel. Take care to ensure that the boot doesn't close on you while you're working.

Remove the four screws from the underside of the deck surrounding each speaker, using a Phillips screwdriver. Place the screws in a safe place to reuse later when you replace the grille.

Go to the back seat of the car. Pull the speaker grille covers straight up to remove them.
