How to Remove an Audi TT CD Changer

Updated July 20, 2017

The Audi TT is a classy two-door coupe, manufactured with its CD changer located at the centre console. If the CD changer (also known as the Audi's CD stereo) is damaged or not working properly, it needs to be removed for a new one to be installed. Removing the Audi's CD stereo can be done successfully by following the proper procedure and by using European release keys, sold at most auto parts shops.

Put both European release keys into the slots, at both sides of the CD stereo. Each key is designed with two ends that fit into two slots. There are four slots on the stereo, two slots for each key.

Pull out both European release keys towards you to unlock the CD stereo and pull out the CD stereo from the Audi's centre console.

Pull the aerial and ISO wiring out from the back of the Audi's CD stereo.
