Meeting women over the age of 40 is a difficult task. You presume that the good ones are taken and the ones that are single might not be hitting the nightclubs on a frequent basis. If you are over 40 yourself you could feel that you are not an outgoing party type either.

Be confident even if you feel a little rusty at dating. This is very understandable and you will be respected by your date if you are honest about that. Remember that you still have a lifetime of experience interacting with people.
Have your own life while dating. An older women will likely have a set routine, hobbies and circle of friends. They may not feel comfortable with you wanting to break that up. Relax and take things easy by staying independent to begin with. Avoid suffocating the relationship.
Tell the truth at the end of your date. Do not lead anybody on that you will call. Politely thank her for a nice evening and wish her all the best. She is an adult and deserves to be treated as such.
