How to Use an iPad With a Mobile Hotspot

If you already have a mobile hot spot and wish to connect your iPad to the hot spot, the iPad's Wi-Fi feature detects the broadband device and connects to its wireless signal to provide an Internet connection. Mobile hotspots are portable devices that allow you to connect to a broadband 3G or 4G cellular network at all times depending on the coverage of your hotspot's network provider.

Instructions

    Push the iPad's "Home" button located at the bottom of the device's screen, and slide your finger against the screen to access the home screen.

    Click "Settings," and tap "Wi-Fi" in the Settings side menu.

    Swipe the switch on the Wi-Fi tab to activate the iPad's Wi-Fi feature.

    Turn on your mobile broadband hot spot, and tap the name of the hot spot in the Wi-Fi's network menu.

    Enter the WEP password of the hot spot, and tap "Join."
