How to Get to Badlands From Stormwind
Navigating Azeroth can be confusing and frustrating for first time World of Warcraft players. (Stanislav Solntsev/Digital Vision/Getty Images)

In World of Warcraft, the land of Azeroth may seem intimidating at first. Navigation is not quite as frustrating after you are able to venture to the many lands and cities and obtain the flight paths. To acquire the flight paths, you must first walk the land to each location.

Instructions

Routing to the Badlands for the First Time

  1. 1

Enter the Dwarven District in the rear of Stormwind and wait for the tram to Ironforge to arrive. (There are two trams here, but they both go to Ironforge. You can take either one.)

  2. 2

Travel through Tinker Town, The Military Ward and The Commons in Ironforge until you come to the Gates of Ironforge. Exit to Dun Morogh through this main entrance.

  3. 3

Travel the path out of Ironforge and down the hill until you come to the first intersection. Turn left.

  4. 4

Travel again until you reach another intersection allowing you to stay straight on the path or turn left. Take the left.

  5. 5

Travel this path its entire length, without veering off toward Kharanos or Gol'Bolar Quarry, until you come to a fork in the road beside a partially frozen body of water.

  6. 6

Follow this road through until you see what appears to be a cave, but it is actually a connection to Loch Modan. Follow this road until you come to an intersection and turn left.

  7. 7

Travel this path to Thelsamar, where you can obtain the flight path from Flight Master Thorgrum Borrelson. Then turn to the right to go between The Loch and the mountain range directly south of Thelsamar. Follow this route to the bottom tip of The Loch.

  8. 8

Travel directly south from the bottom tip of The Loch, where you will find a path through the brush between two mountain ranges. This path is the connection to the Badlands and will lead you straight to the north side of the Badlands.

Tips and warnings

  • When travelling Azeroth, always click on any flight masters you may come in contact with to discover their flight path.
  • The Alliance does not have a flight path to take them directly into any part of the Badlands.
