How to Import Excel Spreadsheets Into Confluence

Written by contributing writer | 13/05/2017

Confluence is a wiki-based program used to share information, often by corporations and small businesses. Excel is a popular spreadsheet program created by the Microsoft Corporation. If you have an Excel spreadsheet that you would like to import into Confluence, you'll need to take a couple steps. The two programs are not entirely compatible, but you can use Microsoft Word as a go between program to help you share information between Microsoft Excel and Confluence.

Open the Excel spreadsheet. Open Microsoft Word.

Select all the relevant cells in the Excel spreadsheet. Copy these cells.

Open a blank document in Microsoft Word. Save the document as a RTF file.

Paste the Excel cells into the RTF file. Save the RTF file under a name you can remember. Upload the RTF file to Confluence.
