"World in Conflict," like most computer games, requires a CD key at installation to verify your copy of the game is legitimate. This key is generally 20 digits long and must be entered each time you install the game. If you need to change your CD key due to obtaining a new copy of the game, the only way to do so is to uninstall and reinstall the game.

Click "Start." Select "Control Panel." Select "Uninstall a Program." Click "World in Conflict" and click the "Uninstall" button at the top of the window. Follow all prompts to uninstall "World In Conflict."
Insert your "World In Conflict" CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
Choose "Install" from the Autoplay menu that will appear automatically. If no menu appears, click "Start." Choose "Computer." Right-click your DVD drive and choose "Explore." Double-click "Setup.exe."
Type in your new CD key when prompted by the install program. Follow the prompts to complete installation to install a new copy of "World in Conflict" with your changed CD key.
