How to Use a Canon TC-DC58C with a G9
The TC-DC58C requires an extra piece to work with the G9. (camera lens image by dinostock from Fotolia.com)

The TC-DC58C telephoto converter lens applies a 2x magnification to the photos taken with the Canon PowerShot G9. The adaptor does not directly attach to the lens. Instead, it uses the LA-DC58H lens adaptor, which is sold separately by Canon. The adaptor directly attached to the camera provides a solid foundation for the converter lens. Additionally, for proper image processing, specific settings must be set on the camera.
