The HDMI audio driver on an ATI card is a piece of software that lets your computer transmit audio to an external source using a high-definition HDMI cable. If you want to turn off this driver, doing so will disable the card's ability to use the HDMI port for audio as well as video purposes. This driver can be disabled using the native device driver management utility, Device Manager.

Right-click on the listing for the HDMI audio driver (under the "Audio Devices" listing on screen) and click "Properties." Click the "Driver" tab followed by "Disable" to disable the HDMI audio driver on your computer's ATI card through the Device Manager.
