The Monkey's Audio format is a "lossless" audio format in that it preserves the entirety of sound recordings during encoding to provide an audio file that has superior quality to comparable audio formats, such as MP3 and AAC. Monkey's Audio has two file types. The APE files contain the raw audio, and the CUE files contain information about the audio, including the track name, artist and album title.
