How to Extract an Adobe Acrobat Serial Number

Updated July 19, 2017

The Adobe Acrobat Setup requires you to enter a serial number (product key) when installing Adobe Acrobat to determine whether your copy is valid or not. After you install Adobe Acrobat, you can find the serial number that you entered by using freeware applications such as the Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder, the Product Key Finder or LicenseCrawler. This is a useful method if you want to extract a lost Adobe Acrobat serial number.

Download and install the Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder (see Resources).

Open the Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder. To do so, click "Start," click "All Programs" and then click "Key Finder."

Click on "Adobe Acrobat" on the left side of the Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder. The Adobe Acrobat serial number will be listed under the "Key" section.

Download Product Key Finder (see Resources).

Click "Open" after downloading Product Key Finder to open it.

Click on the option labelled "Adobe Acrobat" to bring up the Adobe Acrobat serial number.

Download and install LicenseCrawler (see Resources).

Open LicenseCrawler by double-clicking the icon labelled "License Crawler" on the Windows desktop.

Click the button labelled "Start Search" on the LicenseCrawler user interface. LicenseCrawler will detect and display the serial numbers on every program installed on your computer. You can find the Adobe Acrobat serial number under the "Adobe Acrobat" section.
