Open your web browser and navigate to a website that offers Nintendo DS rom unpacking software. DSLazy, DSBuff and NDS Unpack are all programs that perform this service. Download and install the program on your computer.

  2. 2

Navigate to a website that offers the arm7.bin file for download and download the file. This is the file that will be used to patch your DS game file.

Run the DS unpacking software that you downloaded in Step 1. Click the "Browse" button and locate the ROM file you would like to patch. Click the "OK" button.

  4. 4

  5. 5

Copy the arm7.bin file that you downloaded in Step 2 into this folder. Close the window.

  6. 6

Click the "Packer" button on the unpacker program's menu. Create a new name for your backup game file and click the "OK" button. Allow several seconds for the program to reassemble your DS game file.
