The Dell Latitude D610 is a 14-inch screen version of the Dell series of laptops that also includes the D410 and D810. Power off the D610 laptop computer and close it. Unplug any power cables and USB connections.
Turn the D610 over and remove the battery cover by unscrewing the screws that secure it with a small screwdriver.
Disconnect and remove the CMOS battery from the computer. Note how it's secured in the computer. Leave it disconnected for 10 minutes.
Reinstall the battery, reattach the battery cover and power up the Dell D610.
Press the "F1" function key if the computer does not automatically boot to the desktop.
