The Bell 9242 is a high definition PVR (personal video recorder, also sometimes referred to as a digital video recorder or DVR). The device connects to your high definition cable/satellite receiver, giving you the ability to record HD content, without paying the monthly fee typically associated with renting a DVR service from your television provider. In the long run, using the Bell 9242 may save you hundreds of dollars.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Plug an HDMI cable into the "HDMI Out" port on the HD cable/satellite receiver you want to record high definition content from.

    Insert the other end of the HDMI cable into the "HDMI In" port on the Bell 9242 PVR.

  3. 3

    Connect the second HDMI cable into the "HDMI Out" port on the Bell 9242, then attach the other end of the cable into one of the "HDMI In" ports on the television.

    Power on the cable/satellite receiver, Bell 9242 and the television. Press "Input" on the TV's remote control, then choose "HDMI" to view the content on the television screen.
