Plug an HDMI cable into the "HDMI Out" port on the HD cable/satellite receiver you want to record high definition content from.
Insert the other end of the HDMI cable into the "HDMI In" port on the Bell 9242 PVR.
Connect the second HDMI cable into the "HDMI Out" port on the Bell 9242, then attach the other end of the cable into one of the "HDMI In" ports on the television.
Power on the cable/satellite receiver, Bell 9242 and the television. Press "Input" on the TV's remote control, then choose "HDMI" to view the content on the television screen.
