How do I Change Adobe Acrobat From Landscape to Portrait?

Updated February 21, 2017

If you have a Portable Document Format (PDF) file saved on your computer that you want to edit, you can use the Adobe Acrobat application. The application also allows you to create PDF files and determine the page settings. Additionally, you can manually change the orientation of the PDF in Adobe Acrobat, such as changing the page layout from landscape to portrait. After making this change, your PDF will be vertical.

Open the Adobe Acrobat PDF file on your computer that you want to change the orientation for.

Click on the “Edit” option from the top toolbar menu and then click on the “Preferences” option. The Preferences dialogue box will then appear on the screen.

Click on the “New Document” option from the “Categories” list and then a new list of setting options will appear.

Click on the radio button next to the “Portrait” field and then the radio button next to the “Landscape” field will be deselected.

Click on the “OK” button to save you changes and return to the PDF document. The orientation will be changed to portrait.
