You can connect a laptop to your Panasonic TV so that you can view your computer screen on your television. This is useful when you have a video on your computer or the Internet that you would like to view on a larger screen. Connecting a laptop to a TV is a simple procedure that anyone can do. There are five different types of common video cables that can be used to connect a laptop to a TV, depending on the types of ports the computer and TV have.

    Check your laptop and TV ports to find out which type of cable you need. You can refer to the products' owner's manuals for this information. If your laptop and TV do not having matching ports, you can purchase an adaptor at any electronics store that carries these cables.

    Connect the laptop to the TV. Plug one end of the video cable into the port on your laptop and the other end into the port on your TV.

    Turn on your laptop and television. Video from your laptop will now appear on your TV screen. If you do not see the video from your laptop on your TV, adjust the "Video Input" setting on your TV until it appears. You may also need to adjust the screen resolution on your laptop to better fit your TV's aspect ratio. Refer to the owner's manual for your operating system for instructions on adjusting screen resolution.
