Although laptops have quickly become one of the most popular personal computer options, they are not without their drawbacks. One of the most common shortcomings of the laptop is its screen resolution, brightness and colour contrast. Many people find that they are unable to get their Toshiba laptops as bright as they need, however, there is a simple solution to fixing this nagging problem.

    Click the "Start" tab in the lower left hand corner of your Toshiba laptop's screen. From there, go to Settings and wait for the column to pop up. Scroll up the column and click on the "Control Panel." While the Control Panel window is open, click on the "Display" icon.

    Press the tab labelled "Settings" while in the Display Properties window. Locate and click the "Advanced" button.

    Click the "TwinView" tab from the window that automatically pops up at the end of Step 2. While in the "TwinView" tab, ensure that "Display" is set at "TwinView Display 1: Digital Flat Panel."

    Locate and press the "Output Device" button. Click on "Color Correction" and adjust the brightness of your Toshiba laptop.
