How to Reset an IP6600d After Refilling Cartridges
After refilling an ip6000d ink cartridge, the counter needs to be reset. (Used ink cartridges for recycling image by itsallgood from Fotolia.com)

The ink cartridges used by the Canon ip6600d inkjet printer have electronic counters embedded on the cartridge's computer chip. The counter starts at a high number and counts down to zero with each item that is printed. When the counter reaches zero, the printer assumes the cartridge is empty even if it has been refilled with ink. Refilled cartridges need to be reset to start the counter over again.
