How to Draw Animals With Text

Updated July 19, 2017

Drawing animals with text is fun and easy. Some may do it just to pass the time day dreaming in front of a computer, but other's might include them in text messages to give them an extra special touch. Becoming a master of text animals will require some imagination, but once you get the hang of it you will be sending and receiving smiles from everyone you know. With enough imagination, you can probably invent your own silly text animals.

Create a text rabbit with these characters:

(__/)

(='.'=)

(")_(")

Draw an octopus with this model:

(..)

/ | \

| | |

Make a picture of a spooky spider by entering these symbols:

(((\;;/)/)/)

Try drawing a chilly penguin next:

<(")

Craft a skateboarder. It's not an animal, but it's still fun:

o--<]:

Tip

For more complicated text-based drawings, try an ASCII generator.

Things You'll Need
