How to Add Speakers to an LG TV

Updated February 21, 2017

LG is a large electronics company that produces a variety of electrical products, including televisions. If you have an LG television and are not satisfied with the audio it is currently producing, you may decide to connect speakers directly to the TV. Thankfully, LG televisions do have an audio output available on the rear of the television, so it only takes single RCA cable connection to hook up the LG TV and the audio speaker system.

Plug the RCA cables into the "Audio Out" ports on the back of the LG television. Make sure the colours of the RCA cables match the colours on the connection ports.

Insert the opposite end of the cables into the "Audio In" port on the speaker system.

Power on the television and the speaker system. Push the "Aux" button on the speaker system. Once the receiver detects the connected LG, all audio from the LG TV begins to play through the speakers.

Things You'll Need

  • LG TV
  • RCA audio cables
  • Speaker system
