How to Fix a Corrupt Smart Notebook File

Updated April 17, 2017

SMART notebook software is a general class of educational and learning software programs for the classroom. Repairing SMART notebook files on your computer is necessary after hard drive problems, malicious files or user error result in one or more of the system software files becoming corrupted. Repair the file using the disk repair tools in your operating system.

Click "Start," type "cmd" in the "Search" box and press "Enter."

Type "chkdsk c: /r" and press "Enter," commanding the computer to repair disk errors on the "C" drive containing your SMART files.

Press "Y" to confirm.

Restart the computer. The disk will be repaired as the system boots up, restoring your SMART files.
