Casio is a company that specialises in electronics of all types, but they are also known for their fine watches. All of their watches are waterproof to some extent, some more than others, depending on the style of watch. Each watch has an O-ring on the inside, along the edges of the back case. Over time, the O-ring can dry out and lose its ability to prevent water from penetrating the watch. For this reason, you should replace the O-ring every couple years.

  1. 1

Remove the screws on the back of the watch with a 5/64-inch Phillips-head screwdriver. Set the screws in a small bowl to ensure you don't lose them.

  2. 2

Pull the case off the back of the watch. Flip it over to reveal the O-ring on the inside.

  3. 3

Pry the O-ring out of the case with a toothpick and discard it.

  4. 4

Rub silicone grease on the replacement O-ring with your fingers. Make sure the entire O-ring is coated in the grease.

  5. 5

Insert the O-ring in the case in the same position the original O-ring was in. Rub more silicone grease on the O-ring with a toothpick to ensure it's covered around all edges. Do not worry about excess grease as it will not hurt the inside of the watch.

  6. 6

Screw the case back on the watch.
