Whether you're looking for a unique and personal gift idea or thinking of ways to promote your business, a custom pint glass will do the trick. Many online shops offer promotional and personalised beer mugs and pint glasses, and will allow you to add your own text and photo to make it truly a one-of-a-kind creation. With a few clicks, you'll have a custom pint glass for your ice cold brewsky.

Skill level:

  1. 1

Visit a website offering custom glassware, such as,, or Note that the following steps will be geared specifically for, but can be adapted and are very similar to other sites as well. There are many choices on the Web for custom pint glass creations.

  2. 2

Click on "Personalized Glassware" on the left-hand column of the page after you've gone to Click on "Pub and Beer Glasses" or search for "Pint glass" at the top search bar. Click on the image of the pint glass you'd like to customise.

  3. 3

Click on "Design Lab" below the large image on the following screen to be taken to the "design your own product" page. Choose a colour from the "product colours" options box for the colour of pint glass you'd like (for the bottom of the glass and/or the rim).

  4. 4

Add a line of text by typing your short phrase or word into the "Line 1, 2 or 3" boxes in the middle of the page. Change the font, size and colour using the options provided on the page. Move the text around the glass by clicking on the test in the preview image and dragging it around until you find the perfect spot.

  5. 5

Add an image by using the provided clip-art in the clip-art gallery or by uploading your own image using the "upload file" tab in the box on the right. Browse your computer for the digital image file you have saved and select it for your mug. Use the "clip size," "rotation" and "clip colour" options to the left of that box to change how your image appears on the actual glass in the preview.

  6. 6

Play around with different layouts, words, colours and images until you are satisfied with the preview that will be your final product. Click "Preview and Order" to take one final look at what the pint glass will look like before placing your order. Add any special instructions in the "printing instructions" box to the left.

Tips and warnings

  • Use an image or clip art that is less than 300 by 300 pixels in size but that is 300 dots per inch (DPI) resolution for best results.
