How to Change a Delivery Address on Amazon

Consumers who make purchases online are familiar with megaretailer Amazon. Regardless of what you need or desire, you can likely find it on Amazon's extensive website. After you create a shopping account on Amazon to place an order, you will enter a shipping address to keep on file in your "Address Book." Your address book may contain addresses of friends and family for whom you regularly purchase gifts, making it easy to send items to these people. You can change a delivery address on Amazon by adding a new one to your address book.

Visit the Amazon website and log in to your account with your e-mail address and password.

Click "Your Account" in the top right corner of the web page. Scroll down to the "Settings" section and find the "Address Book" heading. Click "Add New Address."

Add the name and shipping address of the new address you want to use for delivery of an order. Click "Continue."

View the new shipping address within your address book. When you want to order an item for delivery to this address, simply select it as a part of the ordering process.

If you have already placed an Amazon order and you decide to change the delivery address, you may be able to do so provided the order is still in the initial stages. Log in to your Amazon account and find the order. You can change the delivery address unless your order says "Shipping Soon," which means it is too late to change it. If your order is through a seller other than Amazon, you will have to contact that seller directly to change the delivery address.
