How to Remove Amazon Tracking Cookies

Updated April 17, 2017

When you visit Amazon.com, small bits of data called cookies are placed in your browser. These cookies allow Amazon to track what searches you make on the website and what pages you visit. If you want to remove just these cookies from your computer's web browser, you can do so without removing any other cookies.

Open Firefox and open the Options window by clicking on "Tools" and then clicking on "Options."

Click on the "Privacy" tab and then click on "Show Cookies."

Click on the cookies from Amazon.com that you want to delete and then click on the "Remove Cookies" button.

Close both dialogue windows once finished.

Open Internet Explorer and open the Internet Options dialogue by clicking on "Tools" and then clicking on "Internet Options."

Click on "Settings" and then click on "View Files."

Click on each Amazon.com cookie you want to delete in the list and then press the "Delete" button to delete them.

Press the "OK" button twice to save the changes and exit the Internet Options dialogue box.
